Pure Carbon Pleated Odor Reduction AC furnace air filters by Nordic Pure are made with a durable non-woven polyester base media infused with naturally derived charcoal and coconut shells, created to eliminate odors in your office or home. What’s special about carbon? While traditional electrostatic air filters capture airborne particles, activated carbon furnace filters absorb odors on a molecular level. This means harmful vapors and strong odors are trapped and neutralized, leaving healthier, fresher air. Carbon furnace filters can reduce tough odors from pets, garbage, bathrooms, and smoke while helping to deodorize cooking smells and other unwanted scents. Additionally, carbon A/C air filters help to remove gases, contaminants, and levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), such as chemicals from household cleaning products. This Pure Carbon Pleated Air Filter offers all the benefits of activated carbon, along with a Nordic Pure MERV 8 rating. Therefore, large airborne particles including lint, dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, and smoke particles are effectively captured and removed.
